Sacraments

As Catholic people, sacraments are the communal actions by which we celebrate the Christ life we share. To help you celebrate sacraments in a meaningful manner, preparation is necessary. Please contact the office to make arrangements for celebrating the sacraments during scheduled Liturgies. If you have any questions please call and ask.

We ask that you are a registered and active member of our parish to celebrate a Sacrament with us.

Sacramental Preparation

Baptism

Parent classes are offered several times each year and are required for all baptisms. Sponsors are encouraged to attend. Baptisms are celebrated at Liturgy, except during Advent & Lent.

Confirmation

Confirmation preparation is offered annually for high school students . (9th - 12th) To begin this process please contact Joan Hoedel at the parish office.

First Eucharist

CTK offers 2 models of preparation. 1. Individual prep/celebration - Contact Sr. Doris 2. group preparation - Contact Joan Hoedel

Family involvement is an integral component of both models.

Marriage

It is important that you contact the parish office as soon as you are engaged. The various steps for marriage preparation take approximately six months. This can be an affirming process and gives you the tools for a marriage that lasts a lifetime.

Reconciliation

Individual appointments can be made with Fr. Jeff. Children have the opportunity to prepare as a group. Contact Joan Hoedel for more information.

Anointing of the Sick

If you wish to celebrate this sacrament communally, it is celebrated when requested during the Sunday Liturgy. Celebration of the this sacrament, as well as Communion, is available for those who are sick and homebound. Please call the parish office.
