Religious Education
Children in Grades K-6 are invited to join us for Religious
Education on Sundays, between the 9 and 11:15 am Liturgies. The curriculum we use for
this age group is Finding God. The web-site www.findinggod.org is
an excellent resource.
Parents, if your child misses RE please notify the teacher so he/she can
send home the material for you to go over with your child. We have
very little time to convey the large volume of important information we
hope the children to learn, so your participation is really important. Children
learn about faith, and the practices of religion, from you - we supplement
that.
Middle
School Catechesis
Jr High Youth Group: 7th & 8th Graders gather every Sunday evening from 5:30 - 7:00 pm for fun, prayer, exploration into our faith, and service projects.
High
School Youth Ministry
Youth
in grades 9 – 12 also meet every Sunday even from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.
The leadership team consists
of college students and parents, with occasional guest speakers. We
would very much like to have some musicians, particularly a guitarist/vocalist
join our leadership team. Prayer, games, retreats, reflection, sharing,
and more … are all components of what we do together – join
us!
Family Support
Raising children is the most rewarding, and most challenging
component of our lives as parents. The staff at Christ the King is
available to listen and support you along the journey. Watch the
bulletin to learn when the ‘Moms’ group meets, when the ‘Men’s
Spirituality Group’ meets, when classes are taught, and for other
valuable information. Call the office if you have a topic you’d
like to see addressed, or a concern about any component of Youth Faith
Formation.
Youth Ministry Advisory Committee
This group of men, women and youth provide
direction to the Youth Faith Formation programs.
Please contact one of the members, or Joan Hoedel,
with your ideas and concerns.
