Parents, in virtue of their participation in the fatherhood of God, have the first responsibility for the education of their children and they are the first heralds of the faith for them. (CCC 460)

We are here to assist you as you model and teach the faith within your family. We have such a short amount of contact time with your children we can only enhance your efforts at home. Children learn about faith, and the practices of religion, from you - we supplement that. Materials and gatherings will be offered to support your efforts as you pass on the Faith to your children.

Religious Education

Children in Grades K-5 are invited to join us for Religious Education on Sundays, between the 9:00 and 11:15 am Liturgies. The curriculum we use for this age group is Pflaum Weeklies. The web-sites www.pflaum.com or www.findinggod.org are excellent resources for families.

Middle School Youth Ministry

Middle School Youth Group: 6th, 7th, & 8th Graders gather on Sundays from 12:30 - 2:00 pm for fun, prayer, exploration into our faith, and service projects. Many collaborative activities with Missoula area parishes and the Helena Diocese are planned throughout the year.

High School Youth Ministry

Youth in grades 9 – 12 also meet Sundays from 12:30 - 2:00 pm.
The leadership team consists of college students and parents, with occasional guest speakers. Prayer, games, retreats, reflection, bible study, socials, leadership, justice outreach, pizza, and more … are all components of what we do in youth ministry – join us! YOUth Ministry includes YOU!

Family Support

Raising children is the most rewarding, and most challenging component of our lives as parents. The staff at Christ the King is available to listen and support you along the journey. Watch the bulletin to learn when the ‘Moms’ group meets, when the ‘Men’s Spirituality Group’ meets, when classes are taught, and for other valuable information. Call the office if you have a topic you’d like to see addressed, or a concern about any component of Faith Formation.

Youth Ministry Advisory Committee

This group of men, women and youth provide direction to the Youth Faith Formation programs. Please contact Patti Cassidy to volunteer your time, talent and energy to guide the Faith Formation Program.
